Coco Brun
Eyes on Talents member, Coco Brun, has been awarded Le FRENCH DESIGN 100 award for her project Echoes of Mexico, a ceremony held at the Grand Palais, in the new French Design Art Edition sector of Art Paris. This is the fourth edition of this unique award which recognizes 100 interior architecture and design projects that showcase French creativity internationally. French artist and designer Coco Brun has developed an interdisciplinary practice that combines art and craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from international collaborations, particularly in Mexico. Echoes of Mexico brings together a series of stone vessels — marble, travertine, onyx — hand-carved in collaboration with the French Institute, the Territorio Galería and the artisans of Sten Studio based in Mexico City. Each piece assembles volumes whose layers evoke the silhouette and motifs of pre-Columbian temples, forming unique sculptural vases. Inspired by Mexican architecture and traditions, this collection highlights the richness of the country's stone heritage.
