Emma Bruschi

Eyes on Talents member, Emma Bruschi, presented « De grâce », her latest collection, during Marseille’s Slow Fashion Week last June. Imbued with spirituality and time-honoured craftsmanship, the pieces explore the ability of textiles to convey a sense of mysticism. Shown at the Musée Provençal de Château Gombert, the collection draws inspiration from sources such as liturgical vestments and peasant attire; the fabrics are brought to life by handcrafted techniques and the patience that goes into beautifully crafted work. The straw, harvested by hand during a harvest organised by Emma Bruschi at her family’s farm in Haute-Savoie, is worked into all manner of forms. « De grâce » also features numerous artistic collaborations designed to showcase other forms of craftsmanship, notably with feather artist Lina Soussi creating a feather artichoke and a headdress adorned with feathered fruit. A collection brimming with exquisite craftsmanship, time, beauty and grace, designed to unfold over several years and reveal new pieces gradually through a series of events.
