est plastic, especially polystyrene, one of the world’s most polluting plastics.

The Brio process offers a creative solution for recycling polystyrene and highlights the prospects for a more sustainable future. Two applications of this process have been developed: a vase made from waste plastic foam (used to transport artworks) from the Louvre, and a series of knives for a gourmet restaurant specializing in insect-based meals. Two species of insects are involved in the creation of the objects: mealworms (Tenebrio Molitor) and Morio worms (Zophobas Morio).

Brio objects embody the beauty of insects and offer a creative approach to recycling polystyrene.
