rom technically durable materials—such as water-resistant polyester and collapsible metal frames. In Sweden, umbrellas are typically incinerated as waste, despite their structural potential.

By deconstructing and reimagining each umbrella, I create garments based on their original geometry—panels formed as golden triangles, found in both mathematics and nature. The project incorporates 3D modeling as a method to adapt designs to the unique size and shape of each umbrella, allowing for digital previews before production. This digital-first approach makes it possible to communicate circular design processes and made-to-order upcycling to both clients and industry partners.

The Disposables is both a critique of fast consumer culture and a proposal for how design can reclaim the value of what we throw away.
