Herbaria, like fashion, encompasses discovery with a strong sentiment of nostalgia.

In his book "The Hidden Life of Trees", Peter

Wohlleben describes how sometimes, due to distortions, tree growth slows down. Those "funny looking" trees develop greater resistance - Crooked and misshapen - those trees live longer.
In a world flooded with visuals (mainly digital) where "Higher, Stronger, Faster". Means better, it is time to slow down and revisit those Dogmas.

It is advised to stop and ask ourselves: What is beauty? Who defines it? Can it exist outside the relentless pursuit of perfection? Might we find beauty in simplicity, in the raw, even in the flawed?

‘Herbarium’ is a call to slow down and observe. It invites an embrace of imperfection. It reflects a move towards prioritizing nature, and productions that operate on a more humane scale.
In this project, nature is not merely a backdrop but a true partner in creation. ‘Herbarium’ was born from a deep love of image-making and an even deeper reverence for the natural world.

In the series, second-hand garments are photographed alongside recent fashion pieces. Accessories and props were gathered from what was left behind—in fields, forests, or factories—objects that didn’t meet the standards of commercial beauty. The images were captured in selected locations, using natural light and local models. The color palette draws on references to natural biodegradability, with shades inspired by moss, seafoam, and rust.

I believe meaningful imagery can be crafted with simple means—especially when nature is given a place in the process. Simplicity, when chosen intentionally, can turn a visual idea into a more sustainable creation. As a creator, teacher, and consumer, I see education, hope, and positivity as essential tools in our mission to reshape the fashion industry.
