Millinary Hats

Classical Millinary hats. Project included creating and executing the hat forms from wood (hand tools used).

Wooden form was inspired by architecture, city landscape, which also resembles to nicely groomed hair.

ver), covered with PVA glue and newspaper pieces and lacque. Beige freeform hat is upcycled woolen hat, old hat steamed to a new from.

Purple hat has been made as freeform on wooden block and the brim of the hat formed on a wreath of twigs, just to see how far it is possible to go with imagination of random forms.

All hats have inside hand stitched ribbon for nice fit. Purple Millinary hat has a wire sewn to hat brim to keep the form of the edge nicely in shape.
