My collection The Sensation of Cold investigates how physical responses to low temperatures, such as curling inward, layering, and seeking shelter, can shape garment design. The process combined wearing-based research with digital pattern development, translating instinctive postures into structured
forms. Materials such as heavy wool, alpaca, mohair, and Finnish merino were chosen for their warmth, weight, and tactile qualities, reinforcing the theme of shelter. Techniques included digital pattern making, draping, knitting, and dyeing. The result is a menswear collection that prioritizes bodily sensation and lived experience, offering garments that both protect and heighten awareness of the body.
