In my work, Wordless Dialogue, I explore our relationship with nature through Martin Buber’s “I–You” philosophy. By moving intuitively, in dialogue with the form of the tree, I extract lines and shapes that reflect a sense of closeness, and further translate them into subtle details.
I have worked w
ith natural materials made on antique looms from Japan, France and Norway. I have naturally dyed the fabrics, forged buttons, hats and closure mechanism and
woodcarved buttons. Inspired by old workwear and everyday clothing, I combined these references with a conceptual process - and translated them into wearable garments with subtle details.
