Lucille Boitelle
Eyes on Talents member, Lucille Boitelle, is an ornamental painter, a rare profession, which aims to produce the original cardboards necessary for the production or creation of papers, fabrics, and wallpapers. In September, she was recognized by the Grands Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris, receiving the Prix Révélation Métiers d’art for her distinctive work at the crossroads of fine arts and decorative arts. Through her projects, Lucille Boitelle affirms a practice both idealistic and embodied, fully embracing its narrative function. She explains, "By drawing inspiration from the landscape, my work questions what our desire to inhabit might be. A porous surface between two worlds – interior and exterior, dream and reality – the decor is an extension of space, a window onto elsewhere." As 2025 marks a major turning point in her career, Lucille Boitelle is now continuing to develop her Matériauthèque des possibles, a fusion of her decors with other know-how, with the aim of extending her pictorial universe in space, without limit of supports or techniques. A global and committed approach towards the emergence of a new Arts & Craft – idealistic, grounded, powerfully collective.
