Apolline Morel-Lab
Eyes on Talents member, Apolline Morel-Lab, has joined this year the official collection of the Mobilier national with a piece entitled Anthénors Bronze, a cast glass lamp. Anthénors is the name of a calanque in Marseille, the city where her project was born during the first pandemic lockdown. There, she designed a collection of three lamps inspired by the variations of light in the Mediterranean landscape. Working with cast glass, she explores colors and mineral transparencies by playing with the thickness of the material. Each piece is linked to a memory, such as the Bronze lamp, whose hues recall the bronze color of rock. "The magic of glass lies in its interplay with light and transparency, color and texture. The lamp lives throughout the day, even when it is not lit. My ambition is to have created lamps that exist as much through the light they radiate as through the light they receive." – Apolline Morel-Lab.
Apolline Morel-Lab's Anthénors lamps will be on display at Design Miami 2025 from December 3 to 7 with the Galerie SCENE OUVERTE (Booth G25).
