Bérangère Fromont
Eyes on Talents member, Bérangère Fromont, exhibited at Paris Photo 2025 with Galerie Bacqueville in the Emerging Sector. Her solo show brought together a new selection from her République series. Through the Place de la République in Paris, a symbolic place where Parisians spontaneously gather to protest, celebrate, or pay tribute, Bérangère Fromont paints a fragmented portrait of a city torn between moments of revolt and moments of peace. She captures these two forces in constant equilibrium by telling the story of a place that has witnessed collective history. Bérangère Fromont photographs young people as a living metaphor for this tension, their faces isolated, struck by the sun, their bodies floating in the light, the clamour of the world suspended for a moment, ready to resurface with renewed vigour.
Bérangère Fromont is a French photographer who lives and works in Paris. For fifteen years, in documentary and staged work, she has been combining and articulating intimate, collective and literary references around the core focus of her work: resistance.
