Oubadah Nouktah
Eyes on Talents member, Oubadah Nouktah, was awarded the Accessories Talent prize at the inaugural Arab Fashion Award organized by the Institut du monde arabe (IMA). Announced earlier this month, the award recognized four winners across three main categories to celebrate the creativity and engagement of Arab design talent. Oubadah Nouktah is a Syrian designer, born in Damascus and based in Paris since childhood. Trained at ENSAD, he developed a language at the crossroads of graphic design, object design and visual storytelling. Later, in Doha, he discovered the world of high-end leather goods and decided to pursue a MAS in Design for Luxury & Craftsmanship at ECAL. In 2022, he founded NOUKTAH, a sustainable handbag label with ergonomic and sculptural designs inspired by automotive engineering. NOUKTAH offers only two bag models in different styles. One is designed around its patented opening system: by intuitively pressing on the leather, it rolls up on itself like a convertible car. The other redefines sustainability by transforming scrap car parts into unique pieces.
